Hubballi, May 9 -- union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Saturday intensified the BJP's attack on the Congress, claiming that the party had "become a Muslim League" and citing remarks allegedly made by AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal to support his charge.
Addressing reporters here, Joshi said the Congress was increasingly being dominated by Muslim legislators in Assam and alleged that the party's political character had changed over the years.
"What you should understand is, I don't know why you are surprised, because the Congress party is a Muslim party," he said.
