Nagpur, May 3 -- A complaint has been lodged with the police in Yashodharanagar, Nagpur against RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat over his reported statement that India is already a "Hindu Rashtra".
The complaint was filed by social activist Janardhan Moon, who objected to the remarks, terming them unconstitutional and contrary to the fundamental principles of the Indian Constitution. There was no response from the RSS chief till the time of filing of this report.
According to the complaint, Bhagwat reportedly said on April 29 that India is already a Hindu nation and there is no need to formally declare it as such.
