Itanagar, Feb. 1 -- In a significant step towards enhancing community safety and regional development, nearly 65 per cent of households (76 out of 120) from Karko village in Upper Siang district on Sunday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arunachal Pradesh government. The MoU extends community support for the preparation of the Pre-Feasibility Report (PFR) for the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP), a project of national importance.
