Jammu, Feb. 19 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday informed the Legislative Assembly that a committee has already been constituted to devise a framework for the regularisation of daily wagers.
"Almost every MLA had raised concerns regarding daily rated workers, temporary workers, seasonal, ad hoc and other categories who have been working for decades," Chief Minister Abdullah said while replying to the discussion on Demands for Grants and expressed gratitude to the legislators for their active participation, noting that 43 members took part in the debate.
"These workers have been there continuously for the last 20-30-40 years, but the reality is that no government could solve their problems," the CM said.
