Shimla, Feb. 4 -- Preparations are underway to convene a special session of the state Assembly to discuss the discontinuation of the Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) in the union Budget, with the Council of Ministers (CoM) expected to huddle on the issue. A decision on convening the special session is likely to be taken at the cabinet meeting scheduled for February 8, while the session itself could be called anytime after February 15. The Assembly's budget session will be convened only after this special sitting.
