Chennai, Nov. 3 -- In a shocking incident that triggered political outrage inTamil Nadu, a private college girl student was gang raped by a three membergang near Coimbatore International airport last night.
The girl was talking to her boyfriend in a car near the airport, when the gang,assaulted him with sharp weaspons inflicting seiour injuries, abducted her ataround 2330 hrs, and gang raped her.
The gang, who came in a two-wheeler, asked the girl student and her boy friendto alight from the car. When he drive to drive away from the spot, the gang smashedthe windscreens with a sickle and attacked him.
They then abducted the girl to a nearby secluded spot and sexually assaulted her,according to police.
