Kochi, Jan. 16 -- Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has delivered MS Heinz, the first vessel in the HS EcoFreighter series of Multi-Purpose Vessels (MPVs), to Germany-based HS Schiffahrts UG (haftungsbeschrankt) & Co. KG.
Designed by Groot Ship Design of the Netherlands, the vessel has been constructed at CSL in compliance with the classification rules of DNV.
The 7,000 DWT HS EcoFreighter MPV is an ice-class ship capable of worldwide trading and is designed to carry a wide range of cargoes, including project and heavy cargo, steel coils, containers, timber, paper, dry bulk cargoes such as coal and grain, as well as dangerous goods.
