Aizawl, July 9 -- The ongoing power struggle among Chin resistance factions across the Myanmar came to an end today morning when Chin National Army (CNA) fighters captured Leilet village following fierce clashes with the Chin National Defence Force (CNDF), local sources said. The shootout, which took place opposite Saikhumphai hamlet in Mizoram's Champhai district, saw heavy exchange of fire and explosions, reportedly grenade blasts, as CNA militants advanced on CNDF positions. The fighting came to a halt around 9 am when CNA forces overran Leilet and forced the CNDF to retreat into surrounding forests, a leader of the Young Mizo Association (YMA) from Saikhumphai said.
