Gorakhpur, Sept. 22 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today met the grieving family of NEET aspirant Deepak Gupta, who was brutally killed by suspected cattle smugglers in Gorakhpur.

The CM met the victim's mother, Seema Devi, and handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh as immediate financial assistance.

He also placed a comforting hand on the shoulder of Deepak's father, Durgesh Gupta, assuring him of solace and support.

CM Yogi directed district officials to prioritize resolving all issues faced by the family and instructed them to take strict action against the accused. Member of Parliament Ravi Kishan was also present during the meeting at the Gorakhnath temple.
