New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched and laid the foundation stone for a series of development works under the SC/ST Improvement Scheme at a public event in Malkaganj Chowk, Timarpur.
The Chief Minister announced that 146 projects worth nearly Rs 85 crore have been approved for SC/ST colonies across Delhi.
She said the government is committed to improving basic infrastructure in settlements where SC/ST communities form 33 per cent or more of the population.
"Delhi's strength does not lie only in its tall buildings, but in the neighbourhoods where hardworking families live and build their future," Gupta said while addressing the gathering.
