New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 9 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has urged Union Fertilisers and Chemicals Minister J P Nadda to ensure the timely supply of urea allocated to the state, especially during the crucial monsoon cropping season.

During a meeting held at the Union Minister's official residence in New Delhi on Tuesday, the Chief Minister expressed concern that Telangana received only 3.07 lakh metric tons of urea between April and June, as against the required 5 lakh metric tons for the Kharif season.

He emphasised that with major irrigation projects receiving water and cultivation activities underway, any further delay in fertiliser supply could severely impact farmers.
