Nirmal, April 6 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of the Goddess Sri Gnana Saraswathi Devi temple in Basara at an estimated cost of Rs 225 crore.
Officials said the redevelopment, undertaken with the approval of the Sringeri Peetham, will feature a nine-storey Rajagopuram, a temple tank in the northeast direction, and expanded infrastructure.
The temple space will be increased nearly threefold-from 20,000 sq ft to 62,000 sq ft-with enhanced facilities such as queue complexes, meditation halls, dining areas, and improved access roads. The sanctum sanctorum and mandapam will also be expanded to accommodate the growing number of devotees.
