Kasaragod, Feb. 2 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan strongly criticised what he termed as the "cruel disregard" for Kerala in the union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Pinarayi Vijayan said Nirmala Sitharaman forgot the fact that "Kerala remains on the Map of India too".

He said this while inaugurating the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Kerala Development and Progress North Zone Jatha (march) led by CPI(M) State Secretary M V Govindan, at Manjeswaram, on Sunday.

Pinarayi Vijayan said all the ongoing demands of Kerala, including an AIIMS, High Speed Rail corridor, Special project for Vizhinjam port, and to increase the financial share of Kerala, were completely ignored by the Centre in the union Budget.
