Cuttack, Jan. 23 -- On the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized the need to acknowledge Bose's immense contribution to India's independence, which is often underrepresented in history books.

Speaking at the Parakram Diwas celebrations at Netaji's birthplace in Odia Bazar, Cuttack, the Chief Minister said that while both, Mahatma Gandhi-led movements and Netaji's efforts, were unparalleled, the latter has not received its due recognition.

"It is extremely unfortunate that many history books devote scant space to Netaji's struggle.
