Lucknow, Nov. 13 -- Marking the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the six-day Tribal Participation Festival began on Thursday at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan (IGP) here on Thursday.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the event, in the presence of Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare Aseem Arun.
The festival, from November 13 to 18, brings together around 600 tribal artistes from 22 states, whose performances, exhibitions, crafts and food stalls are transforming the venue into a vibrant national cultural showcase. The Chief Minister welcomed all participating artistes and highlighted their contribution to India's cultural identity.
