Mumbai, Oct. 21 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid homage to police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty during a solemn ceremony held at the Naigaon Police Headquarters in Mumbai today.

The event was organised to mark Police Memorial Day, where the Chief Minister offered floral tributes at the Smriti Stambh and interacted with families of the martyred officers and personnel.

The commemorative service honoured 191 police martyrs from across the country, including 34 officers and 157 personnel, who laid down their lives while performing their duties over the past year.
