Kochi, Feb. 1 -- Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday announced that a comprehensive multimodal cargo network integrating air, road, rail and inland water transport will be established in Kerala, with Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) serving as the primary hub.
Inaugurating the plenary session of the International Cargo Business Summit 2026, organised by CIAL in association with FICCI to mark the 25th anniversary of CIAL's cargo department, the Chief Minister said the initiative would significantly strengthen Kerala's logistics ecosystem and accelerate economic growth.
He formally inaugurated the summit by moving a gear lever on a cockpit model installed on the stage.
