Dimapur, April 1 -- The Dimapur police commissionerate on Wednesday declared Chumoukedima district, which falls under the commissionerate, as a 'red Zone' or 'no-fly zone' on April 2 in view of an upcoming VIP transit.
In an order, Dimapur commissioner of police Aotula T Imchen said the district has been declared a 'red zone' or 'no-fly zone' from 6 am to 6 pm on the day, prohibiting the use of drones and any kind of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) during this period.
According to the order, all forms of firing practices by security forces, civil police, private agencies, and licensed firearm holders have also been banned during the period.
The bursting of firecrackers has been strictly restricted within the specified hours.
