London, Dec. 25 -- The Princess of Wales has shared a rare and intimate festive moment with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, through a piano duet unveiled during the Christmas Eve broadcast of the Together at Christmas carol service.
Although neither appeared live at Westminster Abbey earlier this month, their performance was pre-recorded at Windsor Castle's Inner Hall and woven into the televised programme. The duet, a rendition of Holm Sound by Scottish composer Erland Cooper, was filmed last week and held back as a festive surprise.
Kensington Palace had teased the clip ahead of the programme with a video of Princess Kate and a then unknown person playing the piano, captioned "a special duet...".
