New Delhi, Nov. 25 -- China on Tuesday denied that an Indian woman from Arunachal Pradesh was detained or harassed in Shanghai and said her lawful rights and interests were fully protected.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said China's border inspection authorities had carried out checks and procedures in accordance with laws and regulations, the law enforcement was impartial and non-abusive, her lawful interests were fully protected and no compulsory measures were taken on her.
''There was no so-called detaining or harassing. The airline provided her with resting facilities and meals,'' the spokesman said.
