New Delhi, March 6 -- The inaugural edition of the Khelo India Tribal Games will be held from March 25 to April 6 across three cities in Chhattisgarh - Raipur, Jagdalpur and Sarguja.

The announcement was made on Thursday by union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

The Games will feature seven medal disciplines - athletics, football, hockey, weightlifting, archery, swimming and wrestling - along with two demonstration sports, mallakhamb and kabaddi. Athletes from most states and union Territories across India are expected to participate in the event.
