Chennai, Aug. 30 -- Alleging violation of electoral procedures, lacking transparent poll process and even a possible "vote chori," two actuaries, including a retired senior official of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), are planning to approach courts against the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI).
Their major complaints against IAI is the process of electronic voting system adopted and the manner in which the results were declared; providing invalid e-mail IDs of IAI members to the contestants for canvassing and others.
"There is a lack of transparency in the poll process while the votes polled seem to have become transparent and secrecy breached," K Subrahmanyam, retired executive director, IRDAI said.
