Agartala, Jan. 28 -- The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as part of the PM-ABHIM scheme, on Wednesday announced the establishment of a 50-bedded Critical Care Block at Dhalai District Hospital in Tripura.

The project, with an estimated cost of Rs 23.75 crore, aims to improve medical accessibility in tribal areas, addressing the challenges of travelling long distances for critical treatments. The state government's initiative seeks to eliminate the dependence on far-off medical centres and provide accessible and quality healthcare services to the residents of Dhalai district.
