Shimla, Sept. 18 -- With Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing a financial assistance package of Rs 1,500 crore for disaster-affected areas during his visit to flood-hit regions of Himachal Pradesh on September 9, the union Ministry of Finance has released the second installment of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
According to a communication issued on September 10, the Reserve Bank of India has been directed to credit Rs 198.80 crore to Himachal Pradesh and Rs 240.80 crore to Punjab as advance installments of the central share of SDRF for 2025-26.
