New Delhi, March 20 -- The Ministry of Heavy Industries on Friday released the Request for Proposal (RFP) to select beneficiaries for setting up integrated Sintered NdFeB Rare Earth Permanent Magnet (REPM) manufacturing facilities in India, with a total planned capacity of 6,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA).

The move marks the formal rollout of the government's ambitious scheme to boost domestic production of critical rare earth magnets, a key component in electric vehicles, wind energy systems, and advanced electronics.
