Guwahati, Aug. 28 -- The union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a major infrastructure work of doubling the railway line between Furkating andNew Tinsukia.
Chief Public Relations officer of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Kapinjal Kishore Sharma said this in a statement today.
He said that the stretch between Furkating to New Tinsukia, spanning a total length of 194 kilometres, under the jurisdiction of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will boost the railway connectivity in the region.
