Chennai, Jan. 10 -- Experts from the Central Forensic Department inspected the spot at Velusamypuram inKarur district of Tamil Nadu, where 41 people lost their lives, and cored hurt, following a stampede during anelection outreach programme of TVK Founder and actor-politiciam Vijay.
The Forensice teams conducted a digital survey of the area last evening.
Their visit assumes significance in the backdrop of Vijay being summoned to appear before the CBI, probingthe tragedy on the instructions of the Court, in Delhi.
The officials arrived in three vehicles and inspected the meeting venue as well as the makeshift shed housinga generator, where several victims were found dead.
