Mumbai, Jan. 16 -- A policy to promote and propagate the cultivation of Broccoli, which has become a super food, is under consideration, an official of the Agriculture ministry said on Friday.
Speaking at the Broccoli Consumption Conference-2026' organized here, Dr Mehraj A S, Deputy Commissioner (Natural Farming and Climate Change), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW), said the Central Government will provide necessary support for cultivation, storage and processing.
Dr Mehraj noted that this is the first broccoli conference to be held in the vegetable sector and it will be important in the field of value addition and health.
