Hyderabad, Sept. 2 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has appealed to cement and steel industries in Telangana to join hands with the government in making the Indiramma housing scheme a success.
Speaking at a special meeting held at the Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat on Tuesday, attended by Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and senior officials, Bhatti said the ambitious welfare programme aims to build 4.5 lakh houses at a cost of Rs 22,500 crore.
The Deputy CM stressed that the scheme, taken up with a humanitarian vision, requires quality steel and cement at reduced prices. "Industries have flourished in Telangana with government support. Now, it is time for them to give back by partnering in this welfare mission," ...
