Lucknow, Jan. 28 -- A case of bribery related to pension clearance has come to light in the Railways. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Anti-Corruption Branch, Lucknow, arrested two officials associated with the Northern Railway Headquarters while they were allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 70,000, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

According to the CBI, the accused officials, Assistant Divisional Finance Officer Akshay Srivastava and Accountant Akash Tyagi, posted at the Northern Railway Headquarters in Hazratganj, Lucknow, had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 3.50 lakh for releasing a woman's pension.
