New Delhi, Jan. 9 -- In a case of collusive corruption, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended two accused persons, including one public servant, a Joint Director of Central Power Research Institute, Bengaluru, while transacting a bribe amount of Rs 9.5 Lakh.

The CBI registered the instant case on January 8 against Rajaram Mohanrao Chennu, Joint Director, CPRI, Bengaluru, and Atul Khanna, Director, Sudhir Group of companies.

The FIR was lodged on the allegations that the Sudhir Group of Companies have been indulging in corrupt activities by influencing CPRI officials to obtain favourable test reports in respect of the electrical equipment produced by the private company.
