New Delhi, Feb. 8 -- In a significant step towards making India's new tax regime more taxpayer-friendly, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Sunday invited stakeholders to submit inputs and suggestions on the proposed Income-tax Rules and Forms under the Income-tax Act, 2025, which is scheduled to come into force from April 1, 2026.

The move is part of a wider consultative process aimed at ensuring smoother implementation of the new law and reducing future disputes and compliance challenges.

To facilitate this, the CBDT has launched a dedicated utility on the income tax e-filing portal, allowing taxpayers, professionals and other stakeholders to share feedback online.
