Washington, Feb. 10 -- Academy Award-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has been cast in the upcoming psychological thriller 'Cupid', directed by Tate Taylor, known for 'The Help' and 'The Girl on the Train', The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Zeta-Jones will portray an unorthodox marriage counsellor whose unconventional methods push a troubled couple's relationship into dangerous territory. The film follows a couple on the brink of divorce who attempt to salvage their marriage over a single weekend at the home of the seemingly well-meaning counsellor.

What begins as a hopeful exercise soon spirals into a dark, hazardous ordeal under the counsellor's increasingly cruel techniques.
