Chandigarh, March 12 -- The Haryana unit of the Indian National Congress has expelled woman leader Suchitra Devi on grounds of indiscipline and levelling "false allegations" against the party's senior leadership. The expulsion order was issued by the Haryana Mahila Congress State President Pearl Chaudhary.
The move comes in response to serious accusations made by Suchitra Devi and her husband, Gaurav Kumar, who alleged that top Congress leaders extorted approximately Rs 7 crore from them with the promise of a ticket for the Bawal assembly constituency in Rewari district.
