Meerut, Feb. 16 -- In Meerut, a case has been registered at Delhi Gate police station against a Pakistani-origin woman and her daughter for allegedly residing in India without citizenship for 33 years and obtaining documents fraudulently.
The complaint, filed by a local resident Ruksana Khan, alleged that the woman entered India on May 25, 1993, with her daughter on a Pakistani passport after the daughter was born in Pakistan earlier that year. According to the complaint, the woman never obtained Indian citizenship but allegedly managed to get her name included in the voter list and procured other documents fraudulently.
