Chandigarh, Oct. 15 -- A case has been registered against Bhartiya Kisan union (Chadhuni) chief Gurnam Singh Chadhuni for allegedly slapping the District Food and Supplies Controller (DFSC) officer Rajesh Kumar following an altercation in Kurukshetra, Haryana.
The incident reportedly occurred during a protest by Chadhuni and several farmers over delayed paddy procurement at the Mini Secretariat.
According to police, Chadhuni slapped the DFSC officer while expressing frustration over alleged administrative inaction. A senior officer confirmed that the case is now officially registered, though Chadhuni has not been taken into custody yet. Farmers have also submitted complaints against the DFSC officer, which are under review.
