Guwahati, Feb. 24 -- A carcass of a male adult Royal Bengal Tiger was found in the Kaziranga National Park on Tuesday, officials said.

The carcass was located in an area under the Central Range of the Biswanath Wildlife Division.

Park Director Sonali Ghosh said the carcass was spotted by forest guards during a routine patrol. The area falls under the 6th addition of the park.

"Preliminary examination indicated that the carcass was in an advanced stage of decomposition. The bones, skin, nails, and teeth were found intact at the site," she said.
