Shimla, Feb. 28 -- Two Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates have approached the Himachal Pradesh high court challenging the appointments made to the posts of Para Pump Operators by state of Himachal Pradesh alleging irregularities in the selection process.
The petition, titled Naresh Kumar and others vs State of Himachal Pradesh and others (CWP No. 13847 of 2025), came up for hearing before Justice Ajay Mohan Goel on February 24, 2026.
The petitioners, Naresh Kumar and Budh Singh told UNI that they belong to Scheduled Caste category, contended that candidates selected under their category had secured higher marks than certain candidates selected under the General category, yet were overlooked in the final appointments.
