Hyderabad, March 12 -- The Urban Development Forum (UDF) has urged the Telangana government to immediately revive the ESI dispensaries approved by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) that were recently cancelled for being inoperational.

In a statement here on Thursday, UDF Convenor M Srinivas said the dispensaries sanctioned in 2018 had not been started even after several years, which reflected serious administrative negligence. He demanded a thorough inquiry into the delay and action against those responsible.

He also expressed concern that three additional dispensaries approved in 2023 were yet to be opened and might also face cancellation.
