Hyderabad, April 6 -- Nawab Mir Najaf Ali Khan, grandson of the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, on Monday called upon the Telangana Government to officially commemorate April 6 as the birth anniversary of Nizam VII.

Marking the 140th birth anniversary, he described the Nizam as a secular and visionary ruler who treated all communities equally and prioritised public welfare. He highlighted the Nizam's significant contributions to healthcare, education, infrastructure, and irrigation, noting that several institutions established during his reign continue to serve the public even today.
