Kolkata, Feb. 27 -- The Calcutta High Court on Friday granted conditional permission to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to hold its proposed 'Parivartan Yatra' in West Bengal between March 1 and March 3.

The matter was heard in the court of Justice Shubra Ghosh.

The court ruled that the yatra can be held during the specified period, but with strict restrictions.

The gathering at any point must not exceed 1,000 people, and the police have been directed to ensure that there is no law-and-order problem during the programme.

The court has also fixed the timing of the processions, allowing them to be held only between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM on the permitted days.
