New Delhi, Feb. 14 -- The union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday approved the extension corridor of the Noida Metro Rail Project from Sector 142 to Botanical Garden in Noida.

The proposed corridor will span 11.56 kilometres and include eight elevated stations.

With the operationalisation of this extension, Noida and Greater Noida will have a total active Metro rail network of 61.62 kilometres, further strengthening urban connectivity in the National Capital Region.

The newly approved corridor is expected to significantly enhance public transport infrastructure in Noida by bridging key residential, commercial and institutional hubs.
