Una (Himachal Pradesh), March 11 -- In compliance with the Una District Administration's directives to ensure the safety of school children , the police and related departments inspected the documents of school buses and vans at various locations on Wednesday.
Approximately 87 school buses were inspected. In addition, challans were issued under the Motor Vehicles Act against 13 drivers who violated the rules.
It is noteworthy that, keeping in mind the safety of school children, Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal, had issued instructions regarding the operation of school buses and other school vehicles yesterday and directed the concerned officials to conduct special inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
