Chandigarh, Jan. 23 -- Bullock cart racing is set to make a comeback at the historic Kila Raipur Rural Olympics in Ludhiana after a gap of 11 years, with the district administration assuring strict compliance with laws and animal welfare norms.

Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain stated that the traditional event will be conducted in accordance with legal provisions and prescribed guidelines, with a special emphasis on the health and safety of the animals. The rural games are scheduled to take place from January 30 to February 1, and preparations are underway to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of all competitions.
