Badaun, March 17 -- In a major administrative crackdown, authorities on Tuesday demolished illegal constructions belonging to the main accused, Ajay Pratap Singh, in the widely discussed HPCL plant double murder case in Badaun district.
The demolition drive was carried out in Saijani village under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Dataganj. A heavy police force and revenue officials were deployed at the site to maintain law and order during the operation. Six shops allegedly built illegally by the accused are being razed as part of the action.
According to officials, these structures had been constructed without proper authorization, and prior notices had already been issued by the Public Works Department (PWD). As...
