Jammu, Feb. 1 -- Hailing the Budget 2026-27 as pragmatic, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, said on Sunday that it will prioritise economic acceleration, create future-ready infrastructure, sustain growth momentum and chart the path to 5 trillion USD economy milestone within a few years.

He said the comprehensive fiscal strategy will balance growth ambition with social welfare.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on development of ecologically sustainable mountain trails in J&K, the Lieutenant Governor said the initiative will generate fresh employment opportunities and invigorate the union Territory's tourism industry with renewed vigour.
