Itanagar, March 6 -- The Budget session of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly commenced in the Legislative Assembly chamber here on Friday to deliberate on a series of important legislative and administrative matters during its sitting, which will continue till March 12 next.
The House saw introduction of several key bills, including amendments to the Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, and Local Authorities (Prohibition of Defection) Act.
The new Arunachal Pradesh Transfer and Posting of Employees of Education Department (Regulation and Management) Bill, 2026 and the Arunachal Pradesh Fire & Emergency Services Bill, 2026 were also introduced in the Assembly.
