Mumbai, Feb. 6 -- The Budget 2026 sends a clear signal that micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) remain central to the country's growth agenda, with a series of targeted measures aimed at improving credit access, easing compliance and expanding demand opportunities, analysts said.
Mohit Rana, Chief Executive Officer of Infomerics Analytics, said the budget takes a "strong and pragmatic" approach to addressing structural challenges faced by MSMEs, particularly in financing and scalability. A key announcement is the creation of a Rs 10,000 crore SME Growth Fund, which is expected to provide patient capital and support the expansion of viable small businesses across sectors.
