Ranchi, Feb. 1 -- union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday presented the General Budget in Parliament for the ninth consecutive time, outlining the government's roadmap towards a developed India by 2047.
Reacting to the Budget, former Leader of the Opposition of Jharkhand Assembly, Amar Kumar Bawri said that despite being presented on a Sunday, the Finance Minister had set a new tradition by dedicating the Budget to the nation with the resolve of building a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.
He said that significant steps have been taken in the Budget to realise the vision of a developed India by 2047, particularly in the areas of new infrastructure development, employment generation, tourism and bio-pharma sectors.
