Shillong, July 15 -- Troopers of the Border Security Force (BSF) today foiled an infiltration attempt along the India-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya, 26 Bangladeshi nationals and four Indian tout were arrested in Meghalaya's West Garo Hills district, BSF said.
Acting on specific input, alert troops of 22 battalion BSF Meghalaya intercepted three vehicles at Matchokpara on Hill road moving towards Barengapara area along State Highway-12 from Purakhasia area.
During the identity verification of the occupants of the three vehicles, the BSF found 26 Bangladeshi nationals were being facilitated by four Indian touts in an attempt to infiltrate into India.
